  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Optional: 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine peeled and sliced peaches with granulated sugar, lemon juice, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and cornstarch. Toss gently and let sit for about 10 minutes.
  2. Place unsalted butter in a small saucepan or skillet over medium heat. Stir occasionally until butter foams and turns golden brown with a nutty aroma (about 5 minutes). Remove from heat immediately.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix rolled oats, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, and optional nuts. Pour warm brown butter over dry ingredients and stir until coated and clumpy.
  4. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 10-inch cast-iron skillet or baking dish.
  5. Spread peach mixture evenly in the skillet. Sprinkle oat crumble evenly over the peaches.
  6. Bake for 35–40 minutes until topping is golden brown and peach filling is bubbling.
  7. Let cool for 10–15 minutes before serving. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream if desired.

Notes
