Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened (for buffalo dip)
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing or blue cheese dressing
  • 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (for buffalo dip)
  • 1/2 cup cooked, shredded chicken (optional)
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • 1 package (about 3 oz) sliced pepperoni
  • Crackers or sliced baguette (for serving)
  • Celery sticks and carrot sticks
  • 12 fresh jalapeños, halved and seeded
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened (for jalapeño poppers)
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese (for jalapeño poppers)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 12 slices of bacon (optional for wrapping jalapeño poppers)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Buffalo Dip: In a medium bowl, combine 8 oz softened cream cheese, 1/2 cup ranch dressing, and 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce. Mix until smooth using a spatula or hand mixer (about 3-4 minutes). Stir in 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese and shredded chicken if using. Transfer to an oven-safe dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes until bubbly and slightly golden on top. Let it cool for 5 minutes before serving.
  2. Make the Jalapeño Poppers: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Halve and seed 12 jalapeños. In a bowl, mix 8 oz cream cheese, 1 cup shredded cheddar, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, and 1/2 tsp smoked paprika. Spoon the filling into each jalapeño half. Optionally, wrap each with a slice of bacon. Place on a lined baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until bacon is crispy and cheese is melted.
  3. Arrange the Snack Board: Lay out sliced pepperoni, crackers, celery sticks, and carrot sticks on a large serving board. Place the warm buffalo dip in the center and arrange jalapeño poppers around it. Garnish the dip with sliced green onions.
  4. Final Touches and Serving: Serve immediately while poppers are warm. The board holds well for a couple of hours at room temperature. Provide small plates and napkins.

Notes

For a chunkier dip, reserve some shredded chicken to sprinkle on top after baking. Wrapping jalapeño poppers with bacon is optional but adds smoky crunch. Remove jalapeño seeds to reduce heat or leave some for extra spice. Use parchment paper on baking sheet for easier cleanup. The dip and poppers can be made ahead and reheated before serving.
