These crispy air fryer pork chops are juicy, tender, and perfectly seasoned without any breading. Ready in under 25 minutes, they’re a quick and easy weeknight dinner that even picky eaters love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless pork chops (about 1-inch thick)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Let them sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes before seasoning.
  2. In a small bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, dried thyme, and cayenne pepper (if using). Mix well.
  3. Drizzle olive oil over the pork chops and rub it in with your hands, coating all sides. Sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over both sides of each chop, pressing it into the meat.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for 3-5 minutes.
  5. Place the seasoned pork chops in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not touching.
  6. Air fry at 400°F for 10 minutes. Do not open the basket during this time.
  7. Flip the pork chops using tongs and cook for an additional 5-8 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 145°F and the outside is deep golden brown and crispy.
  8. Transfer the pork chops to a cutting board or plate and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  9. Serve hot with your favorite sides.

Notes

For best results, use pork chops at least 1-inch thick. Patting the chops dry is crucial for crispiness. Let the seasoned chops rest for 10 minutes before cooking for more flavorful meat. If your air fryer runs hot, check the chops a few minutes early to prevent burning the brown sugar. For thin-cut chops (½ inch), cook for 8-10 minutes total. For thick-cut chops (1.5 inches), cook for 14-16 minutes total. Always check internal temperature with a thermometer. To keep cooked chops warm, place them in a 200°F oven on a wire rack for up to 20 minutes.
