A quick and easy overnight oats recipe with creamy texture, sweet berry swirls, and wholesome ingredients. Perfect for meal prep and busy mornings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup (50g) rolled oats
  • 1 tablespoon (12g) chia seeds
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) milk of choice
  • 1/4 cup (60g) Greek yogurt
  • 12 tablespoons (15-30ml) maple syrup or honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2ml) vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup (75g) frozen mixed berries
  • Optional toppings: fresh berries, nut butter, chopped nuts, granola

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl or jar, mix together rolled oats, chia seeds, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Add milk, Greek yogurt, maple syrup (or honey), and vanilla extract. Stir well until combined.
  3. Layer frozen berries on top of the oat mixture. Do not stir in yet.
  4. Seal the jar or container and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight (8-12 hours).
  5. In the morning, stir the oats. If too thick, add a splash of milk.
  6. Add desired toppings and enjoy cold or warmed up.

Notes

Use frozen berries for best results; they release juices overnight creating a natural syrup. If using fresh berries, mash them slightly first. Store in fridge for up to 4 days. Do not freeze. For warm oats, microwave without lid for 30-45 seconds.
